Mary Glanville – Advisor – The Philanthropy Workshop
The Philanthropy Workshop is the newly created global organization formed by the merger of the Institute for Philanthropy and The Philanthropy Workshop West. Prior to the merger Mary was the London based Managing Director of the IfP, one of the world’s leading organisations providing education and thought leadership in strategic philanthropy. Mary Glanville joined the Institute for Philanthropy in May 2012. Before joining the Institute, Mary worked with the Gibraltar-based Bonita Trust, where in partnership with the International Advisory Board and Trustees, she created, implemented and managed the International Programmes for the Trust . Prior to this, Mary spent twenty-one years working in the international media industry in a variety of commercial and managerial roles at Board level, for companies including Virgin, Zenith and Central Television plc, before co-founding an international multiple platform content building company with the late Douglas Adams. Mary has a B.A/M.A. in Modern Languages from Oxford University and a law degree from the University of Westminster.
